I have been granted the blessing to join a medical team in partnership with Musana Community Development Organization. Musana is a long-standing partner with my church, Flatirons Community Church. My team will be traveling to Iganga, Uganda from October 24thto Nov 4th.
Musana’s mission is as transparent as its name. Musana was founded to create and nurture sustainable communities, uplift families out of emotional and financial poverty and grant a vision of hope and freedom available to every one through Jesus Christ. I stand with Musana and their charitable ideology of coming along side a community and developing individual solutions to not only feed and educate a child at the end of a day but to alter the trajectory for an entire country and share the joy of an abundant and free life with our Savior, Jesus.
I first came across this short-term mission ideology, popularly known as “helping without hurting,” in 2012. I traveled to Chinadega, Nicaragua with Amigos Por Christo for two weeks. The organization did not want to just throw American money at strangers but wanted to invest years of friendship with individual’s aspirations and foster the true elevation out of poverty. In those two weeks we got down in the mud and rivers along side Nicaraguans that had been abandoned by their government and thought God had also. I am ecstatic to experience the same blood, sweat and tears along side Ugandans to continue God’s work He is doing through Musana.
Our team is only the second medical team headed to Uganda to serve inside the new health clinic on the compound. Our main purpose is to support the year round operations of the staff as well as traveling to local communities for health advisory presentations and health screens.
As a physical therapist assistant (PTA), I hope to utilize my knowledge of the human body and the importance of proper movement and exercise progression as an intricate part of treating each patient. Through the passion God has granted me, I hope to elevate barriers to a fulfilling life and share my faith that God heals more than just our physical bodies.
I send this letter to you as a request to partner with me.  “It takes a village” is an understatement when it comes to any missionary trip. I am hoping to gain help in prayer as well as financial support. There will be vulnerable moments in the next coming months for my team due to the spiritual warfare that is always present with anything we do to promote God’s kingdom.

I am in need of people that desire to consistently keep me in their prayers before, during and after my trip. I will suffer doubt, feelings of isolation, imposter syndrome, inadequacy, stagnation and a host of unknowns.
I am also in need of raising $2800, which covers the entire two weeks of travel, food, housing and replenishing supplies for the Musana compound.  I must reach $1350 by Sept 22ndand the full amount by Oct 22nd.

If you would like to join my prayer support team please send me an email at [email protected]or call/text at  (317) 459-0060, or reply to this letter so that I may share prayers and encouragement of which I am in need.
