Hey friends!
After two days of tough moving concrete and cinder blocks, we had a day off today at the beautiful YS Falls in St. Elizabeth, the parish next to Manchester where LIA's training center is. We spent the day zip-lining over the falls, jumping off of rocks, and dropping from an epic rope swing.
This team is so full of socialites that they spent almost literally the entire day as a big group together, challenging each other to throw cameras (safely), do flips, and cheered when those things were accomplished. I'm so impressed with these students - their love for each other and for God and willingness to serve and encourage each other is huge.
Our first day, the LIA staff talked about the importance of loving God and out of that loving ourselves and then we show how much we love ourselves in the way we love our neighbors. The students have lived that out, journaling every day, engaging with the people around them, and taking care of each other.
Tomorrow we head for church where we'll sing and give testimonies and Ben will teach. Thanks for your prayers!
