Here's our update for church today!

Today we spent the morning worshiping with the Wait-a-Bit Pentecostal Church of God. The students were an integral part of the service - Abigail led all of us in two songs, Mitch played the drums for every worship song, Ben gave the main teaching, and Wyatt, Keelan, Shannon, and Mitch each shared their testimonies.

Abigail described the service as "over-flowing with joy" and Sam called it "continual worship" both perfect descriptions of our morning. The students spoke all night about how encouraged they were by the passion in the worship and that they wanted to bring that feeling back to worship in their everyday lives. David, our LIA guide, warned us that worship takes practice. He said, "worship can be ugly to the human eye" and we are naturally inclined to feel embarrassment and he encouraged us to practice unashamed passion as we worship.

Another highlight for most students was when we sang a song called "Love Love Love" and the students got to go meet and talk with the other members of the church. It felt like family since we saw some familiar faces from our work last week.

Ben spoke about God using the broken, using Paul, Moses, Jonah, and Jacob to remind us that we can even be more valuable after we are broken.

In other, un-church related news, Michelle's team (the author of this) won in cricket this evening off of a 6-run walkoff from Sam. It's been so fun for the students to learn a new game with our LIA friends and yet another thing we want to bring back to the states with us.
