Globlalscope Thailand - Day 3/4

Tigers, Buddha's and Elephants oh my!

Day 3: Since its Mothers Day holiday week and school doesn't start until Monday, we got our Thailand sightseeing/cultural immersion in at the beginning of our trip. We took vans a couple hours outside of Rangsit and stopped at a Buddhist temple. It was a great opportunity for our team to pray for the Thai people and realize the depth of idol worship here. But more importantly it shifted our perspective toward their hunger and thirst for a God that delivers. We are hoping that we will have the opportunity to share about the one true God who does not need to be appeased and has already set us right with Himself because of Jesus (not of our own accord).

After the temple we got to ride elephants!! It was spectacular! Definitely a tourist attraction, but so fun to ride/wash the elephants.

We finished the day with a hike up a series of waterfalls.

Day 4:
We got to experience a Thai church service! It was a beautiful and modern building. We had the opportunity to meet many Thai believers, worship and eat lunch together. Delicious and encouraging, it was an incredible opportunity to see how less than 1% of Thai people see God. After church we headed to a mall called Future Park, huge and busy is an understatement to describe this place. After exploring Future Park, we headed to Chatuchack Market or " J and J market" for short. It was a huge market place for people to sell their food and goods to those who came by. It was awesome to see everything from original artwork to everyday brands we see in the states being sold. Think mile high flea market on steroids plus 4 times the people. It was a fun and exciting afternoon.
