Globlalscope Thailand - Day 5

Hello again from Thailand! On day 5 we spent our first day on campus. At first we are all a bit nervous to approach students, being the scary farangs' (Thai word for foreigners) that we are. However as the day went on, we became more and more comfortable with approaching and having conversations with students. We found that it was easier to approach students than to hold signs and ask them to come to us. We found that some students were nervous to speak with us while others were rather excited. Some students even took pictures of us walking around on their campus. Thailand is called the land of smiles for a reason. Even the disinterested students greeted us with smiles and made us feel welcomed nonetheless.

For dinner that night we went to an authentic fish market for dinner. It was a new experience for all of us. They had delicious fried fish that was served whole with the face still attached! We also had a big pot that we cooked our own meat in called Suki. Some of us were more comfortable with the whole fish than others! What would traveling be without new experiences?

Missing everyone at home but really enjoying our time abroad!
