Musana Creative Team Last Day

Our team is heading home after an incredible trip. On Monday and Tuesday we got the opportunity to wrap up some odd and ends projects and connect even more with Andrea, Haril, the staff at Musana and the kids. We are leaving with really full hearts and so thankful for our time at Musana. God has shown us a little more about ourselves this week as well as shown off what amazing, redemptive work He has done in Iganga.
In all, we completed 4 murals at the school, 3 large murals and some smaller projects at the clinic and 3 projects at Sol View, the new cafe in town. Most of these were done alongside the staff and kids! On 3 different days we got to play with the kids a ton as well as teach them smaller projects about creativity and turning nothing into something beautiful. While the teachers helped facilitate, they also stood back and later commented on what amazing tools and ideas we were giving them to use in the classroom and to further encourage art at school, which is so great to hear! Staff at the clinic helped paint several different projects with us and had a great eye for the projects on the walls. Our final large project at the school was a huge Noah's ark mural, which besides the occasional comment from teachers like "I am allergic to the paint brush," some of them helped out and we hope this piece of art will inspire the kids daily. Haril was describing to us that it is possible that in 10 years, a child will think differently and more creatively because of the introductions and conversations of art this week. Such a win! It was amazing walking across campus on our last day seeing all of our team connecting with teachers that are now friends, laughing with kids and getting to hang out and encourage Andrea, Haril and Leah on the amazing work that the Lord is doing in and through Musana. God is good, all the time, all the time, God is good!
