MXC Final Update

Our trip is almost over. It went by pretty quick and we were able to accomplish some good work at Centro Renovar. Our team was tasked with digging out holes for the next building foundation. It was hard to see how much progress we gained throughout the week until yesterday when we were finally able to finish the detailed work of our last foundation hole. We were all encouraged today when we were able to finish pouring the concrete over the rebar in one of the foundation cavities. It was a full week of hard work and it really felt great to finish one of the foundations.

In conclusion, every one of us grew in our faith. I really feel like we all were able to learn from Jean-Luc about where we fit in to God's redemptive story for his people. God never gives up on us and will never run out of love or grace for us. We also need to pray and think through questions like:

Am I hearing God's call?
Am I where God wants us to be?
Where am I content and stagnant in my faith?
Will I stand in the gap for God and man?
What am I thankful for?
Where do i see God working?

Challenging questions. Great perspective!

We are all looking forward to getting home and seeing our families and friends. We have all enjoyed meeting and working with our new local friends and feel good about what we were able to accomplish on the work at Centro Renovar. There will be some folks from our team (probably everybody) who will return to Mexico. It really was an encouraging week.

Thanks God for your grace and allowing us to be here where you are actively at work in the lives of your people! Help us to remember to pray for Mexico and always remember how we experienced you during one time here.
