The weekend has been a time of relaxation, reflection, community and praise! Also, thanks to Kristen, it has been a time for ample "boomerang" videos, which you will all hopefully get to see soon!
In the course of the weekend, we went on a sunrise run with Musana teachers to "Pride Rock" and went to the mouth of the Nile River, where we were reminded again of God's beauty and the rich history of this place. On Sunday our team eagerly sang and praised God in Musana's beautiful church service, which - we all agree - is the closest thing to heaven you can get on Earth. Finally, our Sunday has ended in perfect form with a celebratory dinner of Musana Educators and Flatirons Educators - all with the same love of children, Jesus, and teaching. All of us, expressing our love and appreciation for each other, with the only sadness that our time is nearing an end in two days.
But we're not done yet! We get up tomorrow morning with our focus turned more from 'experimentation/observation' to 'implementation' of the target-strategies that Musana and Flatirons teachers have set for themselves.
